    11-Day Summer Challenge Wrap Up

Thanks everyone who participated in the challenge. It has been a huge hit.

Congrats. You've completed a map in 11 days!

We'll be collecting all the downloads and begin play-testing the maps.

Really great work everyone. I'm very impressed with all the work.

The week is coming to an end. I can't wait to see the results. There were a few awesome projects done in the UT3 and L4D2.

What did you guys think of the entries, and what would you nominate the top 3, out of curiosity?

I'd say the top three will probably be UDK maps.

Was a lot of stuff that was not L4D this time around, which was good to see.

Re: 11-Day Summer Challenge Wrap Up

I gotta say I do not envy the judges, there are alot of great looking maps out there. I agree with everyone else, the UT3/UDK maps look really great but I think that the top 3 maps (based on the screens alone due to the fact that my computer got fried) if I wasn't in the competition, would be
1 - alex2the3gr8 and zim - love the setting, really captures the rural feel
2 - NightCludker and Sarge Mat made some great UT3 maps and are trying to show me up with their skills. . . .just rude.
3 - Severance's and Radu IceMan's TF2 maps make me wish I had TF2 to check them out.

Everyone did a great job who entered and finished, these are just the maps that stuck out for me for the top. There's 2 people per spot but that's why I'm glad I am not a judge. lol Good Luck Everyone!
All that I desire to point out is the general principle that life imitates art far more than art imitates life.

The suspense is killing me I can't wait to see what the judges say.

The map that stood out to me the most was Jryvns. Granted it is very very far from done but I can see it being a fun level to play once everything is in placed and the gameplay kinks are ironed out.
