I was playing around with blocks, arranging them in seemingly random order and staring at them like a monkey doing math when I suddenly realized what I was looking at in my head.

So, I downloaded a bunch of desert/sand/adobe tiles and went to work, and pretty soon I had a twisting, turning, nightmare of close quarters combat, sudden open space, multi-level rooftop running, complete setup.

With the Humvees and the weapons, I can build the collapsed evac station and have that be the destination, with the humvee the players are in having brought them as far as possible.

The goal is to reach the military base, breach the perimeter, and find a saferoom.

So far the map is somewhat of a labyrinth, and I'm not sure how much I'm going to modify it, since it gives multiple ways of getting places, rewards exploration, and in general looks like it's going to be one of those nightmare ones.

Make it those beautiful sunsets, dust cloud the air, reduce visibility, put in smoke, and have triggered soundfiles of weaponry, and it should work good.

I might have to ask for help later in doing looping soundfiles for the background noises.

Screenshots soon!

-------------Edit----------

Playing with it (No order, just as it occurs), I decided to have this be a little different than most maps.

The players get to start with Tier 2 weapons, specifically: 2 M-16's, 2 Shotguns, 2 pipebombs, 2 mollys, 3 medikits, 1 defib kit, 2 herio... err... adrenaline shots, 2 pills, 2 melee weapons, and an extra pistol.

That should mix things up.
