3D Isometric Fast Paced Action Robot game needs Concept Artist
We are small group of dedicated developers with years of experience in game development and our field of expertise trying to make small but interesting 3D isometric fast paced action game with robots/mechs theme.

Backstory
Fantasy world ruled by race of machines that are self aware. They have capability of processing their own memory and are also able to manipulate or transfer their memory what makes them immortal.
Gameplay
Player takes role of small drone robot that has few abilities on its disposal. One of abilities is to control bigger robots so called combat robots. Combat robots are used for warfare and have ability to carry all kind of weapons and equipment. Weapons are categorized into melee and ranged weapons and combat robot can carry one of two or mix of both. Combat robots also have additional weapons and equipment based on robot class.
Player characters are Combat Robot and Drone Robot.
Player is able to control one of two characters at the time and can switch between them at any time. Combat robot is used for fast paced fights against enemies when small drone robot is used for hacking, controlling different robots, scanning areas and exploration being able to go through small tunnels where big combat robot can not go or where no combat robot has gone before.
Goal of our player is to beat through all stages using both characters. There are 12 stages and they are categorized by level themes; 4 stages per theme. Each stage has unique boss fight.
As player is progressing through stage he is fighting against various robotic enemies.
Aside fighting enemies, each stage contains lots of secrets and some objectives player can solve.
The story will also unfold as the game progresses.
There is simple customization system in the game that allows player to change robot weapons as he unlocks new ones by solving missions, accomplishing achievements and beating stage bosses.
There are other features and ideas but for now we will keep it simple and interesting focusing on fun, replayability and innovation.
Our team currently consists of:
1x Programmer
1x 3D Props Artist
1x 3D Character Artist & Animator
2x Concept Artist
1x Level Designer
We went over pre-production phase to make sure everything can be realized and is within our capabilities.
Our first goal is to develop core gameplay and from that we will build level in grey box style improving on that by adding other features as we test our game on constant basis and make sure it stays true with core gameplay.
Currently most of us carry too much hats and in order to lose some responsibilities we could use some help!
We plan to go up to 8 members.
Positions Open:
We are currently looking for one additional Concept Artist who can either work on Sci-fi Environment Art or Character Art. Based on specific skills and experience its possible to apply for Art Director as well.
Character Concept Artist
Has experience with Sci-fi environment designs and drawings
Strong knowledge of mechanical design (Mechs/Robots)
Being able to draw mechanical robots based on specific theme/design/characteristics
Environment/Props Concept Artist
Has experience with Sci-fi environment designs and drawings
Some knowledge of mechanical design (Mechs/Robots)
Being able to draw Sci-fi environment areas and pops based on level design
Art Director
Familiar with the fundamentals of design
Able to lead concept artists
Knowledge of theory and techniques to produce works of art
Everything stated under Concept Artists
Requirements/Standards:
We use Redmine for assignments and project management, and SVN for file sharing.
Skype is used for collaboration over internet.
Teamspeak is used for team meetings.
Work on this project is not funded at the moment, but we do plan to search for publishers/funding once we develop core gameplay mechanics that is covered in our first two milestones.
We expect constant communication between team members. We know that people have their real life responsibilities such as jobs and we tolerate absences as long as its reported.
Experienced people who are motivated by their work and are also familiar with game development workflows.
Have at least 18 years.
