Video update:
(scene 2 is far..far.. far from ready)
Whats your plans for scene 2?
My Portfolio
http://www.mattburnill.co.uk
Scene 2 will be turned into a night scene, with candles and teddybears in front of the pizza shop and people looking at the pamflets/papers. Camera scene will be more or less the same as in the video above.
It will be turned into a snow scene after I worked on scene 3. (that is if I still have time after scene 3)
Another update on scene 2 (out of 3).
I'm working on custom candles of different sizes and lenghts and creating the lighting for the candles.
Here is a test setting. (not final of course)
test video (no camera setup yet)
Things todo for scene 2:
- Pizza sign
- 2 big lights shining on pizza sign.
- more candles and variation.
- more toys / hopefully I have some time left for flowers
- 1 or 2 more characters
- snow particles
- snow decals on ground.

For me, this is totally nailing it. So much emotion coming through in these images. Really nice job.
I would say though, with the things your planning on doing (2 big lights shining on pizza sign), that you dont need added lights, or at least not spot lights. I'd say keep the lighting in the scene subtle so that it really drives home the light from the candles and the people attached to those candles.

Thanks for the advice WPG. Ill try with just a local light to illuminate the sign to just readable.

Impressive work with lights, Duruk, try to add some ice wind particles (scene 2), i think that's gonna make your level more cold, and for sure, more immersive, you may try to put some flowers near the candles, that's could make your level more saddened (sorrow).
good luck to you![]()
Thanks Xpldrox and good luck to you 2, your terrain looks amazing.
I did add ground snow wind, but it only comes out in the video. So I guess I have to enhance that a bit further.
I couldnt find flowers in Crysis and Crysis2 so if I have the time I will add them.
Next week I will start on scene 3. Im ending with a bit of hope for the future. Reference image: http://images.picturesdepot.com/phot...ghts-10814.jpg (setting with snow)
