Great stuff, well done on finishing your submission.
Was the last minute blitz just the way you work or slippage of your workload?
More importantly, what did you learn during this challenge?
Again, well done with hitting the deadline mate.

This is my submission for 2011 WinterTheater
DM-WinterTheater
The map is made for 2-4 players.
Instructions:
1. Download the Map:
Location: http://www.filefront.com/17877517/UDKIn ... heater.exe
2. Run the InstallerYou may have to add .exe to the end of the file name so it reads "UDKInstall-WinterTheater.exe "
3. Go through the install process
Running the Game
1. Start > All Programs > NightClucker_Winter2011
2. Load the game
3. From the Main Menu > Instant Action:
------Game Mode: Deathmatch or Team Deathmatch
------MAP: WinterTheater (You have to select WinterTheater otherwise it thinks DM-Deck still exist)
------Settings: Bots = 0-3
4. Start Game
Notes:
-Map file size is very large.
-Best played with 2-4 players
-Have Fun!
Let me know if you run into any issues.

Creating a couple of proof of concept shots for the surrounding area would have been helpful as well.
So during the meshing phase I took too long trying to figure out what an area looks like with the limit assets that the UDK comes up with.
I also need to allow myself more time to get the installer setup correctly.
I learned next time to use my preproduction phase more wisely.
Same here. My preproduction was far from good, and that affected the rest of the process.Originally Posted by NightClucker
Nevertheless you ended up with a good looking finished map. Congrats!

This is really cool! I like the layout of your map. Good details and a nice dark snowy night feel. Awesome! This is definitely another reason for me to really start getting the hang of UDK.
I like your hallways with the posters. The holes in the sides of building are neat too, and the condemned building idea was well carried out.
Rating: 4/5 Good finished map, good quality and detail, great atmosphere.

The UDK is awesome! I love using it.
Jumping in real quick to say nice touch adding your name in graffiti. I'll critique your map more thoroughly tonight or this weekend. Nice work man

I thought it was a nice touch. I have my name "Qmaster" hidden in my map again too, though you really have to look hard for it. It's not in any of my pictures. Anyways I hope you'll be in the next competition.
