    Toxic caves (Fallout 2 tribute)

    God blessed - I found the inveronment's site!!! Everywhere only characters in use (order of the day bla bla ) Hi all first of all. Starting my first wip here. I'm very fan of Fallout and decided to do unreal version of Toxic Caves (Near Klamath). At this point I have just the scetch and some base geometry in maya. Soon Im gonna start to integrate it all to UDK. I'm environment artist so it will be just presentation instead of a completely playable level. Thanks for watching guys. Crits and comments are welcome.

    Guys I've got one question recently. I'm working in maya, but i have to export my stuff through 3dsMax, cos I don't know how to save 2nd map channel and materials ID exporting from maya. Does anyone have the same trouble or someone knows how to export from maya correctly?

    Hey guys! It's time for showing my progress Actually I made lots of stuff during this time, but I don't like to work on a certain stuff, I'm trying to do different stuff at the same time. So that I had nothing to show until this day Ok. These are some Fallout props and some pictures of a first level of Toxic Caves. Comments and crits are welcome. Thanks.

    Get a dropbox account, much better for hosting and publishing images as well as maps, etc.

    That's pretty cool progress dude...

    How did you get the over the shoulder cam in one of those screenshots? Is there a tutorial for it somewhere?

    @nexusdog: thanks, good service!
    @Neolight:
    1. Open kismet and add the following:
    New Event > Level Loaded
    New Action > Misc > Console Command
    New Variable > Player > Player

    2. Connect them up like the picture below

    3. Select the Console Command node and look at the properties
    under Commands (click the little arrow) add the command
    behindview

    Hey guys! It's been a long time I'm sorry I haven't posted the progress I've been working with huge gaps so it would be hard to keep this thread interesting. Anyway I want to show you the final result. Hope you'll like it. Turn off the light and welcome to the Wasteland.

    Wow this really is looking cool!

    I must say I love all that little extra detail you added like dripping, smokes, flickering lights, fumes etc, really creates a believable atmosphere! Well done!
