This link has all the info for a campaign titled Blood Tide that a friend and I were designing for L4D2. Unfortunately, we decided to discontinue making the map for various reasons. The thread contains many pictures, but keep in mind that the two maps (Ford Financial Building and The Boardwalk) were each only about 50% finished and lack a lot of detail in certain spots. Still, we would like to share our work and see what people think, rather than leave the vmf's sitting there forever.

Hey Phitin,

Is there no way of continuing your project alone? Seems a terrible shame to shelve it now after you put in so much work. Perhaps you'll work on new projects in the future - since you're still here, I assume you still have an interest in mapping?

Lots of work done Phitin. Some good work too.

Maybe you can pass it on to someone who'll be willing to take it off your hands, or maybe finish it yourself?

I still visit here on occasion because I like reading through the design challenge forums, but unfortunately I won't be continuing it on my own. My friend and I have both become pretty apathetic towards L4D2, and neither of us really wants to spend any more time continuing to map for it. I enjoyed mapping, but unfortunately cannot devote anymore time to mapping for this particular game.

Dude! C'mon... That's an awesome map! That's your baby.. Multitask. I forget where I read it but somewhere I read - work on multiple projects to prevent boredom. Keep it around for those in-between moments when you get stuck on your current priority project. I've been working on the 1st map on my campaign, alone, for almost a year now. The custom stuff in that map is really good. take care..
