hey guys, this event is really cool since it lets all the contestants see each others work in progress and have discussion over them, I'm also done working on some basic foundations here are the screens, I'll try to update this post tomorrow, it depends on how further the process goes, feel free to let me know what you're thinking;)...

hey guys,thanks for all your full of energy words, it gives me courage to work better i really appreciate it:), I'm start working to blocking terrain this isn't something special as my focal point is on this giant cursed torso island but i will put the screens as soon as i can.

hey Michael don't say such things about your idea man:), i saw your idea and it also has something similar to mine, to say you the truth It's kind of a unique concept, group of floating islands for dominating world, i like it you can bring something cool out of it i promise keep it up, look forward to see what it going to be look like.

hey there:) today i was just able to make the terrain and do some initial setup for the scene

the Lights still are not final I've put them informally just to give a scene a bit of color
i always rather do the Lighting process at the latest stage of work but even with this situation it takes lot of times for the light to be built i wonder how much It's gonna take if i want to set the Lighting build quality to PRODUCTION value!!!

Looks nice but quick question, Are those waterfalls used from the static mesh that comes with the editor? If so, I think you're only allowed to use bsps, skydomes, and the terrain from udk. I don't think you can use udks static mesh. If it's a material placed on a bsp I think that would be fine. Just giving you a heads up. Keep up the good work!

thanks bailey9000, I've always liked gigantic unusual beings with anatomical forms in video games maybe that's the reason that makes me made something like this.
Hulkspidy51, yeah you probably right i wasn't aware of that maybe i should remove them and replace them with different assets, thanks for the heads up man;)

thanks moutrave:), i made a terrain with some layers and painted them using terrain editor, very simple work:) but i think i would polish them a bit later cause I'm not happy with materials.

hey guys, so here are my new updates, i finished working on this giant creature which i called it God Of The Cursed Island and maybe I add some additional details to it later, because i think now is the time to work on surrounding environment and some structures:)

this island holds a very precious treasure deep inside it's waters it also contains a gift of Eternal Life so in order to get access to these goodies and bring them to surface pirates need to defeat the GOD but of course this wont be easy:D!!!

but delta...beware of the telekinesis power that the God can produce, it could act like a barrier, think about some trick ;) lol
thanks delta for your words, making this piece was really time consuming it almost took a whole days for me because i just had an abstract vision of it (some gigantic form with the load of something environmental) it still has some work to do, i have to add some floating boulders and other details but first i want to start working on structures hope it becomes something cool.

hey guys,
i haven't been around for a while, was busy working on my music project but that doesn't mean i Ignored this challenge, working on 2 projects(this challenge and the music) simultaneously Is not easy, but for me It's really fun and worth spending much of my time during the day:D

these structures included by perfabs are really useful:) i put a cam and after i set the angle I'm start to moving or copy them whenever i want in the shot depending on my cam angle until I'm happy, this kind of trick save me from creating unnecessary area that could take too much space.

i thought maybe creating a Large scale map could give me a chance to demonstrate something gigantic with a nice perspective.

by the way...I'm nearly done my work & maybe i post my finals by midnight.

i believe this cat based medium of expression sums up my feelings towards this brilliant piece of work and unique spin on the medium of pirates/sky based chained elder demons made of wood.

it's amaaazing

my suggestion would be put a directional light behind the wings so that glorious lightshafts will shine through them to further illustrate the amazingness that is the pirate demon

Dam Demon bro that just rocks.The post processing looks great really stands out. Your terrain and surrounding structures look really good.Im really impressed bro. The sheer size of ya pirate demon is just wikked.I can see you have really put alot of thought into this. Great scene bro.Love the frozen in time movements scenes.Really depicts a story. Really well done bro. Cant wait too see the final images.

OO Demon Bro.Now thats just nutz.I like the idea of 3 slightly dif PP,very nice indeed.
I have too say the 3 final shots are awesome.My fav is the last 1.lol Pirate beasty reaching down too grab fleeing pirates,destroying buildings in process. I can see it all.
Great movement my bro, great images,heaps of detail..outstanding job.

basket thanks for your words, first i had something else in mind, different perspective for each shot, but when i was looking between my shots in order to pick them out for finals i suddenly found that FOG+ is turned out to something amazing (at least to my eyes don't know about you guys) :) ... had tough times to choose between those 2, finally i decided to put them both as my finals.
